What is print ready artwork?
File format needs to be either a 300 dots per inch tiff/eps/jpeg/pdf at actual size or a vector graphic with outlined fonts. If this file size is not achieved your print will be of lower quality. ie Pixcelated. Please bear in mind all images from the web are 72dpi and are generally not good enough for printing. If your file has colour/images that go off the edge of your design please ensure 3mm bleed is on your artwork.
You cannot set something up for commercial print in Microsoft Word format, send us your document and we will convert it for you and send you back a proof, this may carry a charge.

What is bleed?
If your artwork has bleed, ie a colour or image that continues to the edge of the page your artwork has to have 3mm extra in order to be trimmed off. If bleed isn’t provided on your print might not have the desired colour or image going all the way to the edge.
I'm not sure my artwork is print ready. Can you help?
Simply email your artwork with any questions to studio@theprintthing.co.uk and we will advise you if your artwork is alright for commercial print and what you need to do if it isn’t.
Do you offer a design service?
Yes, we can design all our products from scratch
How quickly can you deliver?
We can generally dispatch items within 24 – 48 hours of approval depending on quantity. Due to the nature of some of our items lead time can be up to 10 days, if you are in a hurry let us know and we will see what we can do.
What are your opening hours?
9.00am – 5pm. If no one answers the phone leave us a message or use our contact form to send us an email. If you would like to visit us in person please call first, we are a small family company and we are occasionally closed due to meetings etc.
Use our price finder to select the product you need then filter the list as you require.
